Drug and alcohol addiction is a disease primarily affecting an individual’s mind and spirit. It is also a chronic disease that develops over a long period of time, often many years, in the afflicted. Therefore, we at Willow Outpatient focus our treatment philosophy on fixing the addict’s mind and spirit as much as his or her body, and we believe the mental and spiritual adjustments necessary to overcome addiction take several months to accomplish. Thus, our program offers partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient clinical counseling to individuals suffering from chemical dependency. Our program offers a combination of weekly group and individual counseling sessions, conducted and overseen by experienced clinicians certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs. Our clinicians identify and treat the root causes of addiction, namely an addict’s emotional and behavioral natures, with an aim toward helping our patients accomplish a personality change that allows them to live a happy, joyous, free and fulfilling existence without the use of drugs and alcohol.
